All medications (including aspirin,
antacids and cough medication) must be ordered by the resident's
attending physician. The facility engages a provider pharmacy,
which supplies us promptly with ordered medications. Residents
who pay privately for the stay will be billed directly from the
pharmacy. The nurse must give all medications and those can
only be left with the resident with the written permission of the
physician. Self-administration of medication is only permitted
with the written order of the resident's physician and the approval
of the facility care plan team. We ask that you not bring any
medications from home and never leave any medications in your family
member's room.
