Donations We Need Your Help
St. Joseph’s Home is a non-profit
organization that needs your help to sustain their ministry. We are
asking that you join us in our mission to provide the best possible
care for our beloved elderly. You can help by providing monetary
donations, donating in-kind gifts such as needed items, or
volunteering your time and talents. Following are some of the many
ways you can help with our needs:
-
Tree of Life
A memorial gift on the Tree of Life is a lovely recognition for your
loved one and a way to assist St. Joseph’s Home in their goal to provide
the best care possible for the residents. It is constructed of leaves,
acorns, small foundation stones and large foundation stones which
represent different donation levels.
The Tree of Life is prominently displayed in the front
lobby for all to see and be recognized when initially arriving.
-
Sunflower Program (Employee, Volunteer, Co-Worker, Sister Recognition)
While all our caregivers are considered special, was there an
exceptional one in your life or that of your loved one? We’d like to
help you recognize them. By monetarily donating to St. Joseph’s Home in
that special person’s name, you honor a caregiver (employee, volunteer,
Sister, Father, or even a co-worker). This donation helps support St.
Joseph’s Home, so that others can receive the same personal, family-like
nurturing.
-
Memorial and Honor Gifts
This gift is a special way to remember a loved one who has passed away
or to honor a current resident, relative, friend, caregiver or staff for
a special occasion or just to say they are appreciated. When preparing
a tribute for the newspaper, please consider a message such as
“contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Home in lieu of flowers”
Please consider a donation for special occasions like birthdays, weddings,
anniversaries, and other
events or to let someone know you are thinking of them.
This type of gift
provides a lasting impact for many others’ quality of life, unlike
flowers or greeting
cards.
-
Continuous Care Campaign
St. Joseph’s Home has begun a continuous care campaign to help fund
various phases of renovation, upgrades and planning for the future. 45
years ago the Daughters of St. Francis of Assisi came to
Lacon in the spirit of reverence and caring with a goal to provide for
the special needs of many members of our community. It is time for that
community to once again come together to support the Daughters of St.
Francis in their loving efforts to provide only the best care for St.
Joseph’s residents “where dignity, respect and love are freely shared
with residents and their families”.
-
Planned Giving
After you have taken care of your loved ones, there may still be assets
that you would like to leave to charities important to you or your loved
ones. Remember St. Joseph’s Home with a Planned Gift such as: a
bequest, life insurance policy (that’s no longer needed), IRA or other
retirement vehicle, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trust,
stocks, bonds property, art, etc. If you are interested in a planned
gift, please contact St. Joseph’s Home development coordinator.
-
Volunteering Time and Talents
St. Joseph’s Home appreciates any and all donations given. If you would
like to donate your time and talents to improve St. Joseph’s Home and
the lives of the residents, please contact us. Some examples would be:
painting/wallpapering, laying flooring, construction/contractor skills,
talents for resident entertainment and gardening/landscaping.
